Sport Shirts
I’ve framed many sports shirts over the years, mostly for those who are avid supporters of their favourite team or for those who have represented their country or club. They make an excellent conversation piece when you have visitors and they can see it displayed proudly on the lounge room wall [where the wedding photo use to hang] [apologies to the wife].
The shirts are stretched and also given shape, so they don’t have the appearance of being a square blob behind glass. Attention to detail is important. The insert cut-out is drawn on one side and mirrored, so the insert matches on both sides; sleeves [unless it is sleeveless] are at the same angle, equal and uniform distances [where possible], to keep the shirt centered in the matboard/s – frame. They are shadow boxed and ready to hang using the appropriate hardware.
